Responsibilities

• General Surgery Circulating Nurse position in a hospital operating room/surgery setting
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
• 13-week assignment, full time
• Call required
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned surgical patients
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients and family members
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius for local rate consideration
• Previous employees of any CHRISTUS facility must be separated for 6 months prior to starting a travel assignment
