Job summary

American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced Travel RN in Columbus, OH for an Oncology Chemo Certified position. The assignment features 12-hour rotating shifts, inpatient hematology-oncology care, and a high-acuity unit with leukemia-focused care.

Qualified candidates hold an OH license, ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification, and at least 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in hematology-oncology.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license required at time of consideration.
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Certification required.
• Minimum 2 years overall nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year inpatient hematology-oncology experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience required, inpatient unit.
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient oncology unit specializing in acute leukemia and hematology care.
• Cares for adult and geriatric patients newly diagnosed with acute leukemia.
• High-acuity unit with frequent blood product administration, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte management.
• Staffing ratio goal of 1:4, may be up to 1:5.
• 12-hour rotating day/night shifts (7:00-19:30 or 19:00-7:30).
• Shift assignments reviewed every 4 weeks based on staffing needs.
• Variable weekend requirements based on unit needs.
• Uses Epic charting system.
