Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide coverage across Work and Campus Care clinics in Winston-Salem, NC. The role spans Nurse-Only and traditional clinic settings, with travel between locations and a focus on primary care and occupational medicine.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, safety, and collaboration with the care team. Requires BLS, RN license, and approximately 2 years of clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license in the state(s) where services are provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically requires 2 years of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Uphold and promote a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluate patient and unit outcomes and take action as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Demonstrate effective communication, feedback, and delegation within the team.
• Pursue professional development and maintains required certifications.
• Adhere to ANA Code of Ethics and ensure unbiased patient care across interdisciplinary teams.
• Delegate appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Maintain accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units within the service area to meet needs.
