Job summary

Healthforce in Hanford, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse for an OB/GYN travel assignment. The position runs 12 weeks starting 11/16/2026, with 36 hours per week on a 3x12-hour night schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) in a short-term acute care hospital.

As part of obstetric and multidisciplinary teams, you will deliver coordinated nursing care, monitor maternal and fetal status, and participate in discharge planning. Active CA RN license, BLS/CPR, ACLS, NRP and BSN preferred are required or desired.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California.
• CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• ACLS certification (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS).
• NRP certification (AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS).
• BSN preferred.
• Acute care facility experience (2+ years) preferred.
• Ability to work night shifts in a short-term acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated OB/GYN nursing care for a patient or group of patients using established standards and the nursing process.
• Collect and analyze data, develop and implement a care plan, and coordinate care with obstetric and multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications and therapies, and respond to clinical changes per protocol.
• Supervise and direct activities of the nursing staff; delegate tasks and coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Educate patients and families, provide health information, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain patient safety, document thoroughly, and collaborate with the treatment team to support a safe, healing environment.
