Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of two years experience as an RN in an acute care hospital.
• Nursery experience is required as per manager's directive.
• BLS & ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• PALS certification within 180 days of hire.
• NIHSS within 90 days of hire.
• AWOHNN preferred.
• Nursery experience as per manager.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for the assessment and coordination of nursing care.
• Provide individualized care to all patients.
• Foster relationships among patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Foster collaboration with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare providers through timely, effective communication.

Length of Assignment: 13 weeks

Weekend Requirement: Every other Sat/Sunday; Holiday as needed

Accountable for the assessment, coordination delivery and evaluation of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care in an acute patient setting. Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in an assigned area. Develops, implements, and coordinates a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life‑style factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications. Adheres to hospital polices, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience.

EDUCATION:

• Associate's in Nursing or above. Bachelor's preferred.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

• RN-Registered Nurse of California
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
• ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 180 Days of hire
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale within 90 days)
• AWOHNN preferred.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum Two years experience as RN in the Acute care hospital
• Must have Nursery Experience as per manager
