Travel OB/GYN RN — Night Shift, 12-Week Assignment

Job summary

HealthForce Healthcare seeks an experienced RN for an OB/GYN travel assignment in Hanford, CA. The contract runs for 12 weeks with a start date of 11/16/2026. You will cover 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with weekly pay and guaranteed hours, in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting providing obstetric and gynecologic care.

The role requires CA RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, NRP or NALS, at least two years of OB/GYN or acute care experience, and EPIC EMR proficiency. BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP or NALS certifications required.
• Minimum of two years of recent OB/GYN or acute care RN experience.
• BSN degree preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for OB/GYN patients according to the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at multiple levels, coordinating care with physicians, midwives, and other disciplines.
• Collect relevant health data, analyze findings, develop care plans, implement interventions, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide recovery and intrapartum care in Labor and Delivery, assist with cesarean births as needed, and respond to obstetric emergencies while maintaining patient safety and a healing environment.
• Document care and clinical observations in the electronic medical record (EPIC), ensure accurate charting, and uphold standards for infection control and patient safety.
• Educate patients and family members, and collaborate with the care team to support learning and advocacy throughout the treatment plan.
