Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week night shift assignment in North Carolina. Requires Active NC/compact RN license, 2+ years RN experience, telemetry monitoring, and EPIC EMR proficiency.

The role includes 3x12 night shifts, every other weekend/holiday, 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio, and ability to float between Cone Health campuses. Onboarding includes a compliance EKG exam; travel housing and licensure support provided.

Qualifications

Active RN license (NC or compact)
BLS required; ACLS preferred
Minimum 2 years RN experience
Epic EMR experience
Telemetry/remote monitoring experience
Charge RN experience preferred
Pass a compliance EKG exam on onboarding

Responsibilities

Med/Surg Tele unit with primarily Med/Surg patient population
Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a
Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
Patient ratios of 1:5-6
Must float to all Cone Health campuses as needed for patient care
Uses Epic EMR
Care for Med/Surg and telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Skills may include IV therapy, central/PICC line management, chest tube care, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, wound care, and insulin protocols
