American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift in North Carolina. Requires 2 years MS/Tele experience and an active NC or compact RN license. Current BLS; OCN preferred. You may float to Med-Surg areas and work 12-hour night shifts with weekend requirements.

Qualifications

• Active NC or compact RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required; OCN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg Tele nursing experience.
• Strong Med-Surg background for floating.
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and use rapid response/code teams.
• Respiratory skills including nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management.
• Isolation precautions/PPE knowledge.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit with 36 beds and 1:6 patient ratio.
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts 18:45–07:15; 3x12 schedule.
• Work every other weekend and float to Med-Surg areas as needed.
• Use Epic and Pyxis systems; 24-hour unit orientation.
• Provide direct patient care with cardiac monitoring and emergency response.
• Navy scrubs required; must work 2 of 3 major holidays.
• RTO up to 7 days if not on a holiday; no RTO during first assignment week.
• Local candidates within 50 miles eligible for lower rate.
• Former Novant Health or New Hanover employees must wait 12 months to reapply.
