Job summary

American Traveler is recruiting an RN for a Neuro Transplant ICU role in Oklahoma City. Requires Level I ICU experience and an OK or compact RN license. Night shifts are 12 hours, 36 hours weekly, with three days per week.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) and BLS/ACLS with NIHSS certification. Excellent communication and basic computing skills are expected, plus housing allowance and travel support.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (OK State Board or multistate compact/eNLC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the AHA
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Neuro Transplant ICU unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, 3 days per week
• Level I ICU experience required
• Cares for a variety of patients with health issues ranging from simple to complex
• Provides direct nursing care to an assigned group of ICU patients
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Administrates medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
• Educates patients and families on care plans and discharge procedures
• Delegates tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for consideration
• Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed
• Extensions limited to one renewal up to 26 weeks total; a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
