Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a Level III unit caring for infants as young as 26 weeks with ND or compact RN license required.

Details

Level III NICU caring for infants as young as 26 weeks
Occasional floating to postpartum (mother/baby) and pediatrics, though not a routine part of the assignment
Typical nurse assignment is 2-3 babies based on acuity with an average unit census of 8-10 and goal of 5 nurses per shift
Schedule consists of 4x12 shifts (3x12 also considered), either straight nights or rotating shifts, no straight days
Required to work 2 weekends per month
No on-call responsibilities
Uses Cerner and Pyxis systems

Requirements

Active RN license (ND or Compact) currently in hand
NICU II experience required

Additional Information

Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level II/III trauma, Stroke Certified facility
Supported by an on-staff team of NNPs and neonatologists
