Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a Level III unit caring for infants as young as 26 weeks with ND or compact RN license required.

Details
  • Level III NICU caring for infants as young as 26 weeks
  • Occasional floating to postpartum (mother/baby) and pediatrics, though not a routine part of the assignment
  • Typical nurse assignment is 2-3 babies based on acuity with an average unit census of 8-10 and goal of 5 nurses per shift
  • Schedule consists of 4x12 shifts (3x12 also considered), either straight nights or rotating shifts, no straight days
  • Required to work 2 weekends per month
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Uses Cerner and Pyxis systems
Requirements
  • Active RN license (ND or Compact) currently in hand
  • NICU II experience required
Additional Information
  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level II/III trauma, Stroke Certified facility
  • Supported by an on-staff team of NNPs and neonatologists
