Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring a CA RN license and EPIC experience.

The role includes a night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with 36 or 48 hours per week. Travelers may receive housing allowances and travel reimbursements as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license is required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience, with last 3 months in ICU.
• BSN preferred; acute care facility experience preferred.
• No adverse licensure actions allowed.
• EPIC and Cerner experience must be documented in employment history.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical ICU unit of an acute care hospital.
• Night shift 6:30 PM–7:00 AM.
• Auto offer of 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Deliver coordinated nursing care following standards and nursing process.
• Supervise and direct nursing staff and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Collect patient data, develop care plans, implement interventions, evaluate outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team for safe care.
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients following established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct the activities of assigned nursing staff while coordinating care with other disciplines
• Collect patient data, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective care
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
• Required to receive all applicable vaccinations as a condition of employment
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
• Accepts local candidates with no radius restriction; local rates match travel rates
• Traveler can only be placed at one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
