Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a 13-week travel assignment in Washington, DC. The RN delivers high-quality med-surg and telemetry care on nights, with a 36-hour workweek and a dedicated clinical team focused on patient safety.

Requirements include 1 year Med Surg/Tele RN experience, valid RN license, and BLS. Preferred NIHSS and ACLS certifications. Travel benefits, competitive pay, and relocation support are provided.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) Certification.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and document changes in the patient record.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assist during treatments.
• Monitor patient responses and escalate concerns as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
• Manage multiple patients based on acuity and clinical needs.
• Maintain infection control practices and PPE use.
