Job summary

Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN for Med Surg / Telemetry in the Washington, DC area. The position runs 9 weeks, with 36 hours per week on a night shift (12 hours). Start date is 10/05/2026.

Active DC RN license and BSN required, with acute care RN experience and Cerner proficiency. Assigned to a telemetry-capable medical-surgical unit, you’ll perform assessments, document care, and deliver patient-centered nursing while meeting licensure and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required and RN license active in DC.
• Minimum 1 year RN acute care inpatient experience.
• 2 years of Cerner experience required.
• NIHSS, BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Telemetry rhythm interpretation test must be completed before start.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.
• Deliver age-appropriate, competent patient care in telemetry/Med Surg.
• Collaborate with the care team to meet regulatory requirements.
