Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a traveling Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Unit in Tyler, Texas. This 13‑week travel assignment covers day shifts (3×12s) with a 36-hour workweek and a 7:00–19:00 schedule.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, has 2+ years in medical-surgical or telemetry, and is proficient with Epic charting. BLS and NIHSS certifications are required; charge nurse experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit.
• Active RN license required.
• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with Epic charting system required.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care for patients within a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Administer medications and perform necessary medical procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and telemetry data.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatments.
