American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring NJ or Compact RN licensure and 2 years of recent specialty experience.

The role involves a 3x12 night schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with a 1:6 patient ratio, floating across five designated hospitals, and no on-call requirements. Local pay may apply for travelers within 50 miles of the facility; Navy blue scrubs and vaccines are required.

Qualifications

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required, verified via Nursys within 2 weeks of submission.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, with BLS not expiring within 30 days of assignment start
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience required, with recent experience within the last 12 months
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing, limited to two attempts and must be completed on a PC
• Must complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
• Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM) on an every-other-weekend rotation
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• RN and monitor tech jointly monitor telemetry on the unit
• Floating required among five designated hospitals within skillset (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL)
• Block scheduling not permitted
• No call requirements
• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care to assigned patients
• Required to work 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after submission will not be accepted, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of the assignment
• Navy blue scrubs required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions
• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to the local pay rate
