Job summary
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a float pool in the Tucson area. The role requires AZ or compact RN license and 2+ years of RN experience, with 3x12-hour days and a 36-hour week.
Eligible candidates should have BLS/ACLS, a valid driver's license, and be available for a 13-week assignment starting Sep 28, 2026. Cerner EMR experience is preferred.
Qualifications

- 2+ years of recent RN experience required.
- Valid driver's license and US SSN required; no Canadian SIN.

- Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment and leadership in care planning.
- Delegate tasks and supervise assigned personnel.

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a float pool position requiring AZ or compact license and 2+ years of experience.
- Float pool position covering Med/Surg, Med/Surg/Tele, and Transitional Care units
- Requires floating between four facilities in the Tucson area
- Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Patient ratio of 6:1
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- 13-week assignment
- Active AZ or compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Certifications must not expire within first 30 days of start
- 2+ years of recent RN experience required
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
- Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning safe patient care delivery
- Delegate patient care responsibilities and provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel
- Any color scrubs accepted
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
- Requests for time off must be less than one week
- Travelers who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
