Night shift is 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a 3x12 schedule with weekend coverage. Orientation occurs weekly with compliance training; travel pay includes housing allowance, licensure reimbursement, and per diem options.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.

• Epic EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for LTAC Med/Surg Tele patients with telemetry and cardiac monitoring.
• Night shift on a 3x12 schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Weekend coverage as per unit needs; rotate as required.
• Float to other units and campuses according to census.
• Use Omnicell for meds and Epic EMR for charting.
• Complete orientation and annual compliance training; 48-hour pre-login training.
• First-time travel consideration based on experience.
• Travel pay structure based on distance from contracted campus.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring active SC or compact RN license and EPIC EMR experience in an LTAC setting.

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in LTAC MS/Tele, MS, or PCU required
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred

Responsibilities

• LTAC Med/Surg Tele unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage required, typically every other weekend but may vary based on unit needs
• Floating required to other units and campuses based on census needs
• Uses Omnicell medication system and Epic EMR
• Care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients requiring cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Responsibilities may include IV therapy, ventilator management, wound care, and medication administration
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required
• Pre-assignment testing and training modules must be completed within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible for full travel pay, with reduced rates for 90-99.9 miles and night shift exceptions allowing 50+ miles from the contracted campus
