Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring at least 2 years of acute med/surg experience and MO or compact RN licensure.

The role includes inpatient care for adults and geriatrics with conditions like CHF, pneumonia, stroke, and other cardiac-related issues, with responsibilities across post-procedure care and complex post-care procedures.

Qualifications

• Active MO or compact RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of acute med/surg nursing experience.
• Two professional references required for consideration.
• Copies of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Tele unit within an acute care hospital setting.
• Cares for adult and geriatric patients with conditions such as CHF, infection, pneumonia, stroke, TIA, seizures, and UTI.
• Provides post-procedure care for pacemaker and cardiac catheterization patients.
• Manages a variety of post-care procedures including thoracentesis, chest tubes, cardiac drips, heparin drips, and peritoneal dialysis.
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00).
• Every other weekend required.
• Deliver direct patient care within a fast-paced med/surg tele unit.
