American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week day shift assignment in Tennessee. Requires 2+ years of Med/Surg Tele experience and prior travel history. Active TN or compact RN license, BLS and NIHSS, trauma experience, and prior travel are required.

Unit coverage includes 4x12-hour days, team nursing, and on-call/weekend duties. Travel housing and licensure reimbursements are offered as part of benefits.

• ADN accepted
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Level I or II Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience preferred
• Cerner/Epic charting experience preferred
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Driver's license copy required
• Vaccination status required

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for Med/Surg Tele patients
• Day shift 7:00 AM–7:00 PM; 4x12-hour schedule
• Team nursing with patient ratios 1:6–7
• On-call and weekend coverage as needed
• Weekend block scheduling may be discussed
• Floating between units/campuses within 20 miles
• Perform IV therapy, central line care and PICC line management
• Respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management
• Cardiac monitoring and rapid response/Code activation
• Administer medications including Heparin, Insulin, PCA and cardiac drips
• Care for patients with CVA, renal failure, post-neurosurgery conditions
• Wound care with isolation precautions/PPE

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring 2+ years of recent specialty experience and prior travel assignment history.

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) in compliance with NLC guidelines, no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required, 3+ years preferred
• ADN accepted
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience preferred
• Cerner/Epic charting experience preferred
• At least one prior travel assignment required, no first-time travelers accepted
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Vaccination status required for consideration

Responsibilities

• MS/Tele unit in a hospital setting
• Day shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
• Team nursing model with patient ratios of 1:6-7, supported by PCC and LPN staff
• On-call and weekend coverage as needed
• Weekend block scheduling may be considered, to be discussed during interview
• Floating required between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius
• Provide direct patient care for Med/Surg Tele patients including IV therapy, central line care, blood product administration, and PICC line management
• Perform respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, tracheostomy care, and oxygen administration
• Manage cardiac monitoring, telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, and respond with Rapid Response/Code teams as needed
• Administer medications including Heparin, Insulin, PCA, and cardiac drips (no titration)
• Care for patients with CVA, substance withdrawal, renal failure, and post-neurosurgery conditions
• Perform wound care/wound vac management and maintain isolation precautions/PPE
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, no local candidates accepted under this strict radius rule
• Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of 3; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1
• Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application, as post-offer RTO requests will not be honored
