Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift in Greensboro, NC. The role requires at least 2 years of RN experience and prior Charge RN responsibility.

The unit features telemetry, 1:6 patient ratios, and shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every other weekend and holiday rotation. Epic EMR is used, and travel familiarity and floating across campuses are favored.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) in hand at time of consideration.
• BLS certification required; NIHSS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Previous Charge RN experience required.
• Previous travel RN experience required.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (two attempts allowed).
• Current driver's license required for address verification.
• Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and management.
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and PICC line management preferred.
• Experience with feeding tube and colostomy/ileostomy care preferred.
• Experience with wound care/wound VAC and IV insulin protocols preferred.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit with telemetry capability.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM.
• 1:6 patient ratios; float across campuses as needed.
• Charge RN shifts required as needed.
• Respond to emergencies with Rapid Response/Code teams.
• Uses Epic EMR for documentation and orders.

• Floating required as needed across all facility campuses

• Utilizes Rapid Response/Code teams for emergency response
• Performs blood product administration, peripheral line care, and IV starts
• Administers Heparin, Insulin, and PCA medications
• Provides nasal cannula and isolation precaution care
• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry-capable Med/Surg unit
• Respond to cardiac emergencies and dysrhythmias using Rapid Response/Code teams
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted within this radius
• Holiday coverage required on a rotating basis
• RTO must be submitted at time of application; no post-submission requests accepted
• Travelers subject to floating across any facility campus within the health system as needed
