Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry assignment at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center. The position requires documented med/surg telemetry experience and BLS/ACLS certification.

The role features a 12-hour night shift, 4 weekend shifts per month, and no on-call requirements. Epic EMR is used, and local candidates are paid at traveling rates.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Documented Med/Surg Telemetry experience with a completed skills checklist.
• Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume trauma hospital setting required.
• Prior experience in Skilled Nursing, Rehab, or NICHE training is a plus.
• No RTO permitted during contract.

Responsibilities

• 32-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit serving adult and older adult patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Trauma patients requiring Heparin drips and acute medications as ordered
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Uses Epic EMR
• Specialty equipment includes gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment
• Expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• No block scheduling approved for most units
• No on-call requirements
• Provide care for trauma patients requiring close monitoring and acute medication administration
• Work within a high-pressure, high-volume Level 1 trauma center environment
• Mandatory holiday coverage required for Thanksgiving Day or the day after, and either Christmas Eve/Day or New Year's Eve/Day
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as traveling candidates
