Job summary
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Ortho unit position requiring a CO or compact RN license and night shift availability.
The unit operates 3x12hr night shifts, 36 hours per week, with EPIC charting and potential to float to other departments within competency. The travel assignment spans 13 weeks with a start around Oct 5, 2026.
Qualifications
- Active RN license (CO compact acceptable) required.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA), not expiring prior to start.
- TNCC certification preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Ortho experience required.
- ASN required, BSN preferred.
- DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration.
Responsibilities
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks per state Board of Nursing standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care.
- Provide health teaching, counseling, and supportive/restorative therapy.
- Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications.
- May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.

- Uses EPIC charting system
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
- May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Active RN license, Single State or CO Compact
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA), not expiring prior to start
