Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking a Med/Surg RN for an Ortho/Trauma Unit in Oklahoma. The role requires OK or compact RN license and BLS certification. Night shifts are 12 hours, with 3 days per week totaling 36 hours.

- Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
- Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed.
- Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products.
- Communicates care plans with patients and families, including at discharge.
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate.

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an Ortho/Trauma Unit position requiring OK or compact RN license and BLS certification.
- Ortho/Trauma Unit within a hospital setting
- Provides nursing care to patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours weekly)
- Charge experience preferred
- Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board or multistate compact/eNLC) required
- Current BLS certification from AHA required
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Manages an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and treatments
- Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Monitors physiological data and intervenes as needed
- Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
- Communicates care plans with patients and families, including at discharge
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, followed by a required 6-month separation before reapplying
- Facility enforces strict compliance deadlines; onboarding must begin immediately upon booking
