American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg-Ortho RN for a 13-week acute care assignment in Texas with telemetry monitoring. TX or compact license and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience are required, along with BLS and ACLS certifications.

The role features a 12-hour day schedule (7a-7p) on a rotating 36/48-hour per two-week cycle, with every-other weekend and holiday coverage. EPIC EMR experience preferred; navy scrubs required.

• RNs must read telemetry strips; tele monitor techs assist.
• RNs not required to titrate drips.
• 12-hour day shifts 7a-7p on rotating 36/48h every two weeks.

• No call or standby requirements.
• Float to all med/tele units as needed.
• Use EPIC EMR; support from Charge Nurses, House Supervisors, and Educators.

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact (NLC) license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, no pending certifications accepted
• Strong communication and time management skills needed
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

• Acute care Tower 2 Med/Surg-Ortho telemetry unit with 12 beds

• Must be willing and able to float to all med/tele units

• Provide direct patient care to orthopedic patients on a telemetry-monitored med/surg unit
• Complete 2 shadow/orientation shifts before working independently
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year, though PRN employment through outside firms will be considered
