American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg-Ortho RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring TN or compact RN licensure and 1+ years of experience.

Details

• Med/Surg-Ortho unit within a Level III Trauma Center
• 23-bed unit caring for geriatric, adult, and pediatric patients (13 and older)
• Patient ratios of 4-6:1
• Common diagnoses include post-operative joint, bariatric, and GI surgeries, as well as trauma patients
• Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirement of every third weekend
• Floating required as needed
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 1+ years of RN experience required
• ASN required
• Must demonstrate teamwork, customer service orientation, and a strong work ethic
• Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to start date
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for post-operative orthopedic, bariatric, GI, and trauma patients
• Any scrub color is acceptable, though shirts must display a hospital logo and acrylic nails are not permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for a travel assignment
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
