Job summary
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg/Telemetry/Oncology unit in a clinical setting. EPIC experience and TX or compact RN licensure are required, with 2+ years of RN experience and BLS/NIHSS certifications.
The role involves a 15-bed unit with 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, comprehensive oncology/telemetry care, and ongoing EPIC conversion. Frequent 12-hour day shifts, on-call duties, and potential float between Bryan and College Station campuses are expected, with housing
Qualifications
- Active RN license in TX or compact to practice
- BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Meditech experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide care for Med/Surg/Oncology/Telemetry in acute care
- Manage a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio on a 15-bed unit
- Perform assessments, care planning, and patient education
- Read and interpret ECG strips and monitor telemetry
- Maintain readiness for float and on-call rotations
- Support nurse aides and participate in shift handoffs
