Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Ambulatory Infusion Clinic. The role requires strong IV insertion skills and prior RN experience. The clinic operates day shifts with four 10-hour shifts and a rotating weekend schedule.

The position welcomes local candidates and first-time travelers with relevant experience. Requirements include an active RN license (MD or Compact), BLS, and a minimum of 2 years RN experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Proficient in peripheral IV insertion and blood draw techniques.
• Skilled in accessing, maintaining, and de-accessing central lines.
• Strong assessment skills with patient education.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Ambulatory infusion and travel nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in a 500+ bed facility required.

Responsibilities

• Ambulatory infusion setting serving non-oncology infusion patients and adults with Sickle Cell Disease.
• Fast-paced infusion center with continuous patient monitoring during treatment.
• Patients released home following completion of their procedure.
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (four 10-hour shifts).
• Weekend rotation required every 3rd weekend with Saturday/Sunday hours 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
• Provide ongoing monitoring and rapid intervention for patients during infusion treatments in a supportive, patient-focused environment.
• Deliver patient education related to treatment and condition management.
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate.
• First-time travelers with strong, relevant experience will be considered.
