Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool with stepdown experience and an AR or Compact RN license for a night shift float position. Requirements include an AR or Compact RN license in good standing, BLS/ACLS (PALS preferred), and a minimum of 2 years of experience. Stepdown experience is required; travel nursing experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Active AR or Compact State RN license in good standing.
• BLS required; ACLS required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Stepdown experience required; critical care experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• BSN preferred

Responsibilities

• Float position supporting ER hold, overflow units, adult and geriatric psych, and inpatient rehab units
• May be assigned pediatric patients when floated to the ER depending on experience level
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• Provide direct patient care and leadership within the nursing team
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans through a Shared Governance model
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote evidence-based, patient- and family-centered care
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for any positive result
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Travel experience is highly preferred
