Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg Float RN for a night shift assignment in Georgia. The role requires an active GA or Compact RN license, at least 2 years of RN experience, and proficiency with the Epic charting system.

Certifications including BLS and NIHSS are required. The assignment is 3x12 hour nights, with a patient ratio of 1:4–5 and an 18-week duration. Travel-friendly benefits are included and local candidates may be considered at the same bill rate.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Float unit including ER Hold coverage.
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
• Every other weekend required.
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed.
• Provide care including cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams.
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management.
• Manage respiratory support including nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration.
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols.

• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Responsibilities

• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• 18-week assignment length
• Provide care including cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
• Manage respiratory support including nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and oxygen administration
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, finalized at time of submission
• No RTO permitted during orientation week
• Expected to work holidays based on how many major holidays fall within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day)
• Previous Piedmont employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
