American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN to join the Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit in Illinois. Must hold an IL RN license, have 3+ years of nursing experience, and be proficient with EPIC charting. BLS and ACLS are required, with Level 1 Trauma experience preferred.

The role involves night shifts (three 12-hour shifts weekly: 1900-0730), frequent weekend rotations, and travel housing stipends. Local candidates outside a 50-mile radius will not be considered.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license in good standing required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required.
• ASN required, BSN preferred.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Level 1 Trauma experience required.

Responsabilités

• Work in the CV Med/Surg unit providing care to post-operative CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients.
• Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week (1900-0730).
• Weekend requirement of 5-6 shifts per 6 week schedule.
• Holiday coverage via department rotation.
• EPIC EMR charting experience required.
• Provide direct patient care including initial assessments, care planning, and ongoing evaluation of post-surgical cardiovascular patients.
• Perform hourly rounding and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and contribute to peer professional development.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and hospital/unit-based competencies.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered.
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract.
• Prior Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service after 1 year before returning to any Carle Health location.
