Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for a Respiratory Med-Surg position in Ohio. This role requires telemetry interpretation skills and Epic EMR proficiency.

You will work the night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week, with no on-call and occasional floating to related units. Active OH license and BLS are required.

Candidates must have at least 3 years Med-Surg with telemetry and pass a competency test on Day 1.

Qualifications

• Active OH license or compact license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 3 years of recent Med-Surg and telemetry experience.
• Competency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips; competency test on Day 1.
• Epic EMR proficiency with no training provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage a 21-bed Respiratory Med-Surg unit with pulmonary disease care.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry for high-acuity patients.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult respiratory/medical-surgical patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Float to related units as needed (Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, ED).
• Deliver care in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 36 hours/week; every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• 21-bed Respiratory Med-Surg unit specializing in pulmonary disease care


• High-acuity unit with complex adult patient population requiring continuous telemetry monitoring


• Night shift schedule, 7:00PM-7:30AM, 36 hours per week


• Every other weekend required


• No on-call requirement


• Floating required to similar units such as Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders


• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients


• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes


• Must be adaptable, efficient, and able to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
