Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for Telemetry Med/Surg in Wichita, KS. Must hold a KS or compact RN license and have at least 2 years of RN experience.

The assignment runs for 13 weeks with a night shift (19:00–07:30) and includes lodging/shift considerations. Local candidates may be eligible for a reduced rate, and first-time travelers may be considered.

Qualifications

• Active KS or compact RN license required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
• MOAB Moderate Risk de-escalation training required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Current license and primary source verification (Nursys) required within 30 days prior to start.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit within a hospital setting.
• 13-week assignment with night shift hours (19:00-07:30).
• Every other weekend required.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Uses Cerner OneChart EHR system.
• May be required to float to like units on the same campus or another campus within Wichita.
• Blue scrubs required.
• Provide telemetry-level nursing care to medical/surgical patients.
• Only one submission permitted system-wide across Ascension positions.
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate.
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position.
