The role involves adult Med/Surg, ortho, telemetry, and uses the nursing process to deliver patient care. Responsibilities include administering medications, documenting care, developing care plans, and participating in unit performance improvement.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with education verification.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg unit coverage including Adult Med/Surg, Med/Surg Ortho, and Telemetry populations.
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to policies and state regulations.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans based on physician orders.
• Document patient care according to established standards.
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise to support longitudinal plans of care across departments.
• Apply critical thinking to ensure patient safety and elevate concerns through proper channels.
• COVID-19 vaccination required.
