American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 33-bed Orthopedic unit in Texas. Requires TX or compact RN license, BLS, 1 year Med/Surg experience, and willingness to float across the hospital. Shift is 7A–7P with a 1:6 patient ratio and no on-call duties.

Travel-friendly role offering housing support and licensure reimbursement, with opportunities for professional CEUs and travel rewards. Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Competenze

• Active TX or compact RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and CPI/SAMA preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Mansioni

• 13-week assignment on the 3T Ortho unit (4th Floor, Main Hospital)
• 33-bed unit with day and night shift staffing
• 7A-7P shift schedule
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Med/surg population including telemetry, pre/post surgical, cardiac, respiratory, GI cases
• Uses Meditech EMR
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to care for med/surg patients as needed

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and CPI/SAMA preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• 13-week assignment on the 3T Ortho unit (4th Floor, Main Hospital)
• 33-bed unit with day and night shift staffing of Charge Nurse, RNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretary
• 7A-7P shift schedule
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Medical/surgical patient population including telemetry, pre/post surgical, cardiac, respiratory, and GI cases
• Uses bladder scanners, scales, vein finders, lift equipment, IV Sonosite, iMobile communication devices, in-room computers, and workstations on wheels
• Meditech EMR used
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required throughout the hospital to care for med/surg patients based on need
• Royal Blue scrub color required
• Candidates must demonstrate a patient-centered mindset and be team-oriented, collaborative, professional, and accountable
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
• One professional reference required for consideration
