Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a day shift on a 34-bed Family Practice unit. You will provide direct patient care with a 1:6 ratio on a Med/Surg floor, and work 12-hour days from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Candidates must hold a GA or compact RN license, current BLS/ACLS, and have at least 2 years RN experience. Must reside >50 miles away from the facility; US SSN and DOB required for consideration. Open positions: 2.

• Unit secretary coverage days, none nights

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a day shift position requiring at least 1 year of recent specialty experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Greater than 1 year of Med/Surg patient care experience required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• 34-bed Med/Surg unit (Family Practice)
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Unit secretary coverage during dayshift only, none at night
• PCT ratio of 1:12
• Uses Meditech documentation system
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Scheduled every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Provide direct patient care on a Family Practice Med/Surg unit
• Required dress code: Caribbean blue scrubs, no artificial or gel nails
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, no local candidates accepted
• Holiday coverage required in rotation with hospital employees
