Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week day shift in New Mexico. Requires 2+ years of recent Med/Surg experience and an active NM or Compact RN license. BLS is required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities include 1:6 nurse-patient ratio, occasional pediatric patients, floating, and MedHost EMR. Fingerprinting is required for travelers in NM. Housing allowance and travel reimbursements may be offered.

Qualifications

• Active NM or Compact RN license is required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required.
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start.
• Active driver's license and US SSN required for consideration.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• General Med/Surg inpatient nursing unit with occasional rehab assignments.
• Patient ratio of 1:6.
• Occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the floor.
• Day shift, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Floating required.
• EMR system used is MedHost.
• Provide general Med/Surg nursing care including occasional pediatric patients.
• Fingerprinting required for all travelers in New Mexico.
• RTO requests must be less than one week.
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at this health system within the past 2 years will not be considered.
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible.

• Patient ratio of 1:6

• Census-based on-call only, applied prior to scheduled shift start if census is low
• EMR system used is MedHost
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Provide general Med/Surg nursing care including occasional pediatric patients
• Fingerprinting required for all travelers in New Mexico
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated if requested at time of consideration
• 48-hour guarantee scheduling may be accommodated if requested at time of consideration
• RTO requests must be less than one week
