Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Lees Summit, MO. You will provide comprehensive obstetric care, monitor maternal and fetal health, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) and NRP Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and examinations.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and stabilize mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care and assessments in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
