Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Saint Louis, MO. This role offers 36 hours per week on a night shift, with travel-friendly benefits and support from a dedicated clinical team.

The RN will assess maternal and fetal health, administer medications, and collaborate with obstetric teams to ensure safe, patient-centered care during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.

Qualifications

One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
Valid RN license in MO compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
NRP Certification

Responsibilities

Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in obstetric nursing
Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor and delivery
Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment
Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care
Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members
Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
Document care and interventions in the medical record
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes
Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results
Assist in cesarean sections and obstetric procedures
Comply with hospital policies and regulatory guidelines
Perform additional duties within labor and delivery scope
