American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery/LDRP position in a critical access hospital setting in Minnesota. The role requires L&D and Medsurg/Peds experience and an active MN RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities include 36 guaranteed hours per week, night shifts with rotating D/N every 3 weeks, on-call with 1-hour response, EPIC EMR, and dedicated RT on call. The team emphasizes safety, communication, and collaborative care.

Qualifications

• Active MN RN license required and active at submission.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience.
• L&D and Medsurg/Peds experience required.
• CAH experience preferred.
• No clinical involvement required for this role.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the facility.
• Provide two professional references with dates and eligibility.

Responsabilités

• LDRP unit in a CAH acute care setting.
• 4 L&D beds, 6 postpartum beds, 1 triage bed.
• C-sections performed in the OR.
• Follow AWHONN staffing ratios: 1:1 induction, 1:2 postpartum.
• RNs titrate drips including Pitocin, cardiac drips, Heparin, and sedation meds.
• Charge nurse present each shift, typically without a patient assignment.
• OB/neonatologist and anesthesia on call but not in-house 24/7.
• RT equipment includes vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow, Airvo; RT on call 24/7.
• RNs monitor telemetry using Philips monitors and read strips with support.
• EFM system GE used.
• 1 nurse aide on shift 6a-6:30p.
• Night shift 7p-7:30a with rotating D/N shifts every 3 weeks.
• Every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday required.
• Floating to Med Surg Peds when OB census is low.
• On-call with 1-hour response time.
• Uses EPIC EMR.
• 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• One 12-hour unit orientation provided.
• Strong communication, motivation, and approachability valued.
• RTO requests upfront; traveling/PRN considered for this role.

• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

• 4 L&D beds, 6 postpartum beds, and 1 separate triage bed
• C-sections performed in the OR
• Follows AWHONN staffing ratios: 1:1 for induction patients, 1:2 for postpartum
• Common diagnoses include labor and delivery, postpartum, hyperbilirubinemia, and preterm labor
• RNs titrate drips including Pitocin, cardiac drips, Heparin, and sedation medications
• Charge nurse present each shift, typically without a patient assignment
• OB/neonatologist and anesthesia on call but not in-house 24/7
• RT equipment includes vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow, and Airvo, with RT on call 24/7
• RNs monitor telemetry using Philips monitors and read their own strips, with support from ICU and charge nurses as needed
• EFM system used is GE
• 1 nurse aide on shift from 6a-630p
• Night shift schedule: 7p-730a with rotating D/N shifts switching every 3 weeks
• Every third weekend and every third holiday required
• Floating to Med Surg Peds required when OB census is low
• On-call requirement with 1-hour response time
• Uses EPIC EMR
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• No specific scrub color or dress code required
• One 12-hour shift of unit-specific orientation provided
• Successful nurses on this unit demonstrate strong communication, motivation, and approachability
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year
• PRN employment through outside staffing firms will be considered
• RTO must be requested upfront, as additional time off requests will not be approved after submission
• Previous travel experience not required, first-time travelers welcome to apply
