Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Dover Foxcroft, Maine. Start date 10/19/2026 for a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on the night shift.

Must have RN license, BLS, and NRP, with a recent L&D background. You'll work with a dedicated clinical team in a facility setting, providing obstetric care from labor through the immediate postpartum period, and may participate in cesarean sections and emergency responses as

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families; provide reassurance.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and exams.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including mother and newborn assessment and stabilization.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members for cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
