Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Machias, ME. This role involves monitoring laboring mothers and fetal status, delivering baby care, and collaborating with obstetric teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

The position requires 1 year of relevant experience, valid RN license, and BLS; NRP certification is also preferred to support neonatal resuscitation efforts.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as Labor and Delivery RN
• Valid RN license
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP Certification

Responsibilities

• Monitor laboring patients and fetal status
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Assist during labor, delivery, and cesarean sections
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care
• Document care and participate in quality improvement initiatives
