Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Caribou, ME. Start date 09/28/2026. Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights.

This travel opportunity allows you to deliver high-quality obstetric care while exploring a new location. As a Travel L&D RN, you’ll assess maternal and fetal health, administer medications and therapies, and assist with cesarean sections and obstetric procedures in a collaborative clinical team.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies, including preeclampsia, hemorrhage, or fetal distress, using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
