Job summary

Tidepoint Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Travel RN - Labor & Delivery for a Nights shift (7p-7a), 36 hours per week, 13 weeks, Des Moines, IA area. Travel assignment with weekend rotation; float between units as needed.

Candidates must hold IA/Compact license, 2 years L&D experience, antepartum and delivery experience, BLS, ACLS, NRP, EPIC EMR experience. Local 50-mile radius rule; travel history required. High acumen in obstetric care is essential.

Qualifications

• IA/Compact license required.
• 2 years of L&D experience.
• Antepartum and delivery experience (C-section/vaginal).
• BLS, ACLS, NRP required.
• EPIC EMR experience mandatory.
• Level I/II trauma OB experience preferred.
• No first-time travel; recent travel assignment required.
• Local radius rule: must be 50 miles away from facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide labor, delivery, and postpartum care as assigned.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status; respond to changes.
• Collaborate with on-site team and float as needed.
• Complete documentation in EPIC accurately.

Shift: Nights, 7p-7a, 12x3, 36hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks

Holiday rotation; Call: none;

Weekends: Every 3rd - required

Requirements

• IA/Compact License
• 2 Years Experience
• Experience in Labor & Delivery
• Antepartum, C-section/vaginal delivery experience
• BLS
• AHA ACLS
• NRP
• Intermediate or Advance EFM / AWHONN certificate is accepted
• EPIC EMR experience
• Experience in Post Partum / mother-baby care preferred
• Current/recent high risk OB experience in level I trauma facility highly preferred
• Current/recent high risk OB experience in level II trauma facility highly preferred

Other Details

• EMR: EPIC
• Traveler will be required to float
• No 1st time travelers, must have completed at least one travel assignment in previous 12 mos
• Local Radius rule: No locals -- All candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility (based on drivers license)
• Bed Size: 45 bed, 2 OR
• Patient Ratios: 1:1-2
