Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks an experienced Interventional Radiology RN for a short-term acute care hospital assignment in Washington. The role requires WA or compact RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and IR nursing with ICU background.

Travel experience and Epic EMR familiarity are essential; the RN will provide patient care on 4x10 hour days with 1:1 staffing. The position includes housing allowances, per diem, and travel reimbursements common to our travel nurse program.

Qualifications

• Active WA license or compact license required in hand at time of consideration.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year IR nursing experience; 3–5 years preferred.
• ICU experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias preferred.
• Experience monitoring procedural sedation and medications.
• Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Interventional Radiology unit in a short term acute care hospital setting.
• Performs CT guided biopsies, fistulograms, GJ-tube placements, lower extremity angiograms, nuclear med/stress tests, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and Y90 procedures.
• 1:1 patient ratio.
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Weekend coverage varies based on staffing needs, approximately every 3-4 weekends.
• On-call responsibilities include one weeknight per week every other week (1700-0700) and one weekend call shift every 4-6 weeks (Friday 1700 to Monday 0700).
• Uses Epic EMR.
• May be required to float between sister facilities.
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract.
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility.
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position.
• RTO requests should be minimized, ideally kept under 7 days.
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years.
