Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an RN - ICU Float for a day shift in California. Requires CA RN licensure and EPIC charting experience. The role covers float pool ICU assignments with day hours and 36- to 48-hour shifts.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years ICU experience, CPR/BLS certification, and BSN is preferred. Local candidates are welcomed; housing allowances and traveler benefits are included where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Float pool position within the ICU.
• Day shift 7:00 AM–7:30 PM; 36s or 48s shifts.
• Delivers coordinated nursing care per standards.
• Supervises and directs nursing staff; coordinates with other disciplines.
• Collaborates with patients and families; participates in discharge planning.
• Delegates duties among healthcare team; ensures continuity of care.
• Holiday RTO not approved; limit on time off; no adverse licensure actions.

• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of recent ICU experience required
• EPIC charting experience required and must be noted in employment history

Responsibilities

• Float pool position within the ICU
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, working 36s or 48s
• EPIC experience required
• Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervises and directs assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, humane, and caring treatment
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Delegates and coordinates duties among healthcare team members
• Holiday RTO will not be approved
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
• Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction, and local rates match travel rates
