Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU registered nurse for a 13-week night shift assignment in North Carolina. Requires 1-2 years ICU experience and an RN license (NC or Compact).

The role includes 7PM-7AM shifts, 1:2-3 patient ratio, and Cerner EHR usage. Travel rate applies for those living 60 miles or more away, with comprehensive benefits and housing support.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI/HWC/MAB, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• 1-2 years of ICU experience required.
• Education, licensure, and certification required to work as an RN in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Work in an 8-bed ICU/CCU unit within an acute care hospital.
• Serves patients of all ages, with common diagnoses including respiratory failure.
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Uses Cerner EHR
• Night shift schedule, 7PM-7AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Call requirements as needed
• Floating required with a 1:6 ratio
• Deliver high-acuity ICU nursing care, including management of respiratory failure cases
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Scrubs of any color permitted; no casual attire allowed
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
