American Traveler is actively hiring an RN for an ICU night shift in Ottumwa, IA. Candidates must have an Iowa or compact RN license, AHA certifications, and 1–2+ years of ICU experience. Nursys licensure, SING background checks, and comprehensive pre-employment screenings are required.

This 13-week travel assignment offers full benefits and housing options. Night shift runs 6:45 PM–7:15 AM with every-other-weekend requirements. First-time travelers with ICU experience may be considered.

• Titers for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB within last 12 months

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ICU within Medical Surgical Combination unit
• Night shift 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM

Requirements

• Active RN license (Iowa or compact) required
• AHA certifications required
• 1-2+ years of ICU experience required, though candidates with 1 year of experience plus travel experience will be considered
• Current active Nursys licensure required at time of consideration
• Iowa SING background check required, including both criminal and child abuse portions with no exceptions
• All background checks (county and state) must be fully cleared prior to start; instant or statewide searches not accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
• 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
• Titers required within the last 12 months for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU within the Medical Surgical Combination unit of a regional health center
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week assignment length
• Provide direct patient care within a critical care setting as part of a collaborative healthcare team
• Facility has served the Ottumwa and Southeast Iowa community for more than 125 years, offering emergency medicine, critical care, medical/surgical, acute rehabilitation, obstetrics, pediatrics, and specialty services
• Monday or Tuesday start days will be accommodated
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• First-time travelers with sufficient ICU experience may be considered
