American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Trauma ICU RN for night shifts in California. CA RN license, 2+ years ICU, and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS) are required; TNCC preferred.

Must handle ventilated patients, IV sedation, ICP monitoring, and trauma level experience. 3x12 shifts, no on-call, travel or local candidate options. Position at a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma Center; responsibilities include ICU care, roaming to ICU/Tele as needed, and adherence to facility policies and dress

Responsibilities

• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00.
• Work in a Magnet-designated Level II Trauma Center.
• Provide care for critically ill trauma patients in high-acuity ICU.
• Floating within facility to ICU/Tele units as needed.
• Use Cerner charting system for documentation.
• No on-call duties; up to 2 days of RTO with 1 holiday off.
• Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate.

American Traveler is hiring a Trauma ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and CA RN licensure.

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Skilled in care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Experience with ICP monitoring required
• Level I and Level II Trauma experience preferred
• Pending licenses not accepted

Responsibilities

• Trauma ICU setting within an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
• Weekend shifts required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within scope to any ICU/Tele units based on facility needs
• Uses Cerner charting system
• No block scheduling accommodations available
• Work in a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital that is a Level II Trauma Center
• Provide care for critically ill trauma patients in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Strict dress code enforced: no facial hair, acrylic nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings other than earlobe earrings, and all tattoos must be covered
• Scrub color is flexible, but camouflage or character patterns are not allowed
• Up to 2 days of RTO permitted, with 1 approved holiday off
• Three missed shifts may result in assignment cancellation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Orientation includes facility modules averaging 3-6 hours, which are non-billable
