Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 12-hour night shift on a 14-bed critical care unit. Requires MA RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2+ years ICU experience. Ventilator and hemodynamic skills are essential, with CCRN preferred. Vaccinations required and a 50‑mile radius exclusion applies.

Assignment is 36 hours per week over 8 weeks, with rotating weekends/holidays and travel accommodations provided.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required in hand at time of consideration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Demonstrated competency in critical care skills including ventilator management, vasoactive and sedation titration, hemodynamic monitoring, and dysrhythmia management.

Responsibilities

• Care for adult and geriatric ICU patients in a 14-bed unit.
• Provide 12-hour night shift nursing care from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Rotate weekends and holidays.
• Work 36 hours per week over an 8-week assignment.
• Ensure vaccination requirements are met and maintain compliance with hospital policies.
• Possess ability to pass competency testing for Tele/ECG and Medications.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 12-hour night shift assignment requiring an active MA RN license and 2+ years of ICU experience.

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Demonstrated competency in core critical care skills including ventilator management, vasoactive and sedation titration, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac dysrhythmia recognition and management, and post-STEMI care
• Evidence of relevant continuing education required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Must pass Tele/ECG and Medications competency testing prior to acceptance

Responsibilities

• 14-bed critical care unit with 24-hour intensivist coverage
• Serves adult and geriatric patients with medical and/or surgical issues
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• 36 hours per week over an 8-week assignment
• Provide critical care nursing to adult and geriatric ICU patients
• No holiday RTO permitted, and RTO requests limited to no more than 3 days
• Required vaccinations include COVID (with booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must complete a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
• First-time travelers may be considered
