Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care Unit position in Michigan. Active MI license and 2+ years CCU experience are required. BLS and ACLS certifications are necessary, with Cerner EMR experience preferred.

The role features night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) in a CCU, with 12-hour shifts, weekend and holiday rotations, and on-call duties during low census periods. Travel housing and licensure reimbursements are offered.

Qualifications

• Active MI RN license required at time of consideration.
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required.
• 2+ years of current CCU experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Prior Cerner EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 12-bed Critical Care Unit (CCU).
• Nurse to patient ratio of 4:1 or 2:1 depending on patient acuity.
• Uses Cerner EMR.
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Weekend rotation required.
• Holiday rotation required.
• On-call required during low census periods.
• Provide critical care nursing services to patients requiring intensive monitoring and treatment.

• 2+ years of current CCU experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Prior Cerner EMR experience preferred
• Strong manual dexterity for managing IV tubing, syringes, and other equipment
• Clear oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work with diverse patient and staff populations with cultural and spiritual sensitivity
• Ability to manage time efficiently with minimal supervision
